We are Kathy Jo & Ralph Weaver, owners of The Oak Canopy at Hickory Hammock. In 2012 we purchased a home with 25 acres in Lake Wales, Florida. Over the years we have had multiple friends and family tell us we should start some kind of venue. As the years went by I kept thinking we really should open a venue, not only for weddings but other types of events as well. So in 2019 we decided to go ahead and make our dream a reality, we started construction, and then Covid hit. When that happened it was nearly impossible to move forward due to lack of supplies. Fast forward to 2023, our oldest daughter got engaged and we've had to "kick it into high gear" to have it completed by April 2023. Of course, our daughter's wedding was the first one and we are hoping it will be the first of many Weddings to come!
